2 · Size
The cut file always comes out on a full board this tall, whatever height was ordered. A 48" arch lands at the bottom with the spare material above it, so the corner marks sit in the same spot on the bed every job. Leave at 96 unless a job needs a different board.
Longest side keeps the design's real shape and never stretches it. A wide badge comes out wide, a tall figure comes out tall.
Leave one blank to keep the shape's proportions. Fill both for an exact board size.
Add each image, set how many you need and its size, then hit Generate. Each image keeps its own proportions (never stretched). The tool fits them on the board and adds one set of corner dots. On the preview you can click a piece to select it, then drag it, resize it, rotate it, or remove it.

Color
Off keeps your thickness so you can switch it back on.
Drag any of the 4 registration dots on the preview to place each mark by hand.
Outline hugs the exact shape. Board cuts a rectangle around it.
Tiles as many copies as fit, with one set of dots for the whole board.
A visible outline around the design. The cut goes around the outside, so it stays on the finished piece.
Background & fine-tuning
Production setting, nobody sees it: how far the printed color carries past the cut so a slightly-off cut never shows a white edge. Set it once and leave it. A negative number instead bites the cut just inside the design for a flush edge.
Leave at 0 so the file matches the ordered size. Add a blank border only if your cutter needs the dots to sit outside the design.
Leave this ON. The dots print in rich black (the same 4-colour black as the marks you add in Illustrator), which is what lets the Colex camera find them by itself. Turn it off only if you are adding your own marks somewhere else.
